The Korean Society of London
The Korean Society of London is a nonprofit organization that was created to promote a lively community among Korean Londoners, and to assist Korean newcomers navigate the challenges of starting a new chapter in their lives.
We strive to preserve our national heritage by celebrating Korean traditions and engaging in cultural exchange with the broader community.
During his visit to London, Ontario in 1969, the South Korean Ambassador Paik Sun-yup (백선엽) stressed the city’s need for a Korean cultural association.
Since then, the Korean Society of London officially registered as a Charity Organization and built a platform allowing for communities to join together with the aid of government subsidies and commemorations.
Despite early challenges, the Korean Society of London has quickly grown into a vibrant organization thanks to the support of the community and the guidance of our elders.
We would like to thank our volunteers and community members, whose time, effort, and innumerable contributions have allowed the Korean Society of London to flourish. It is our hope that we will continue to set an invaluable example for the future generations of our intercultural community here in London, Ontario.
